Am I the only one who really cares about my future, but sometimes it feels so unreal? And other times, I just want to enjoy my teenage years? I don’t think so... That’s another reason why being a teenager is hard. We all want a beautiful and successful future, but it feels so unreal that one day we will be adults, with our own money, homes, jobs, etc. I think that’s why it’s so hard to stay disciplined: we can’t fully imagine that what we’re learning now will actually help us in the future, so it’s way easier to just not learn.
But I can’t even tell you how important knowledge is. Beauty means nothing if you don’t develop your knowledge and work on yourself. We should make being smart and emotionally intelligent "cool". Just imagine this scenario: you meet someone new, someone likable, and you want to be friends with them. You start talking, and eventually, they bring up a political topic, a world issue, or something about a war, and you just stand there smiling, not knowing what they’re talking about. I know this might sound a bit exaggerated, but I hope you get the point.
So yes, I absolutely understand how hard it is to focus on your future. Sometimes, you have to take breaks. You also need to enjoy your teenage years: go to parties, hang out with your friends, watch a movie, read, or do anything that gives you energy. After those activities, you can go back to working toward your future. I hope this helps, guys!
